The Burford Garden Company, known for its unique and quirky approach to the British garden, home, and lifestyle was suffering from an out-of-date and inflexible online presence. They needed their technology to work with them, not against them, to grow their business and the services they offered. Early site visits and client workshops revealed the ambitions of the client’s needs, goals, and the limitations their current tech stack had in helping them reach those goals.

The Solution
Overthrow Digital started by developing a technology roadmap, which began with the Burford website, to later move onto tackling their EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) integration and a suite of other services, from shopping apps to click and collect and more, which would enable new ways for customers to shop on site and increase their basket size.
The client originally planned to remain with their existing CS-Cart CMS, but after having audited the limitations the Overthrow Digital team proposed, designed and delivered a fresh solution that would work in tandem with CS-Cart to expand Burford’s potential to enrich their customer’s online journey with new content types and interactive shopping experiences.
