Brief

The Creative Industries Federation (CIF) is the national membership organization bringing together the UK’s arts, creative industries, and cultural education to speak with extra clout and provides networking opportunities for its members.

The CIF has a unique challenge; to develop a membership offer which appeals and benefit as much to an individual practitioner as to the large multinational company, the university, public arts organization, sole trader and digital start-up.

Overthrow Digital were appointed to design and build a that was scalable and intuitive with an easy to use content management system (CMS). It also needs to be deeply linked to their SalesForce CRM; for both lead generation and member requirements. The functionality of the website also needs to be enhanced for members to view sections of the website that are restricted to members only.

Solution

The new CIF website needed to reflect the ethos of the Federation, the creativity of its members and offer functionality that enhances its membership offering, aiding membership acquisition and retention. ‚Äč

Result

The finished product features a web design and development with the user in mind using UX (user experience) design and SEO best practices. It is a simple and interactive website that introduces CIF as an important creative organization and allows users to easily browse through the content-rich website.

The Salesforce CRM has also been linked to the new website making it easier for CIF’S internal team to manage submitted applications and inquiries. Event tracking has been implemented on buttons across the website to give the internal marketing team an insight into which page/s user submissions were from.
