Family Business specialist Paul Andrews requested some assistance to streamline his popular magazine site to increase traffic and user sign up as well as facilitate easier navigation and promote more user interaction.
Building on the existing structure, we reworked the sitemap to bring all of the useful information above the fold and colour coded the main navigation to give each section a distinct visual identity.
We worked on reducing clutter from each page by designing templates that would house all main elements in the best possible hierarchy with space to individualise under the fold for each section.
We also removed required sign up for many of the articles and made just the top level content only visible to registered users, this improved the user experience and let user see just how good the content was before signing up for the top level content and tailored newsletters.
Family Business United has gone from strength to strength receiving much more traffic, news submissions, user interactions and new user sign ups.
