The Medical Channel


The brief from the Medical Channel team was to create a website that supported their fledgling television channel, promoting unbiased medical advise on a range of issues and medical themes. The website needed to reflect the brand online, and capture organic search traffic in order to raise brand awareness and convert website visitors into television viewers. 

The channel had plans to launch in multiple territories across Europe and North America, so the solution would have to accommodate a multi-lingual requirement as well as different schedules for the alternate territories.



Overthrow Digital created a fully responsive website that promoted the television schedules and programming, and also created a vibrant magazine section that capitalised on the teams content plan and goal to output 5-10 articles per day. Overthrow worked with the client to develop the idea of publishing themes and sub-themes on a monthly basis, which fed into a wider SEO strategy.

The website has been built with IP detection and multiple sub-domains to serve the most suitable version of the website to the audiences based on a users geographic location.  


The website has been launched to an initial UK audience and we are excited to roll out future versions to overseas territories. Overthrow are continuing to work with The Medical Channel on an ongoing content marketing and digital marketing strategy to drive traffic and boost engagement with the channel.
